MathShark quizzes eight different skill levels in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages, AND works as a full-function calculator with the press of a button. Problems are displayed on the LCD screen either vertically or horizontally. Answers receive immediate feedback with colorful flashing lights and tones. Sets are timed, and the elapsed time plus a message appear at the end of each set.

As they see their time improve, kids are continually motivated to beat it, just like when they play a video game. The more they play, the more they learn. Requires two “AA” batteries (not included). Measures 10″ x 6.1″ x 3.9″.

The screen is hard to see brand new. A year later and it is unreadable. My daughter learned with it and still tries to use it, but it’s no use.

My daughter was struggling with learning her math facts. This was the perfect solution. I am so glad I ordered it. Well made.

Good concept but when the kid gets it wrong, the right answer should come up. Otherwise how are they ever going to learn what the answer should be. Basically all it does is tell you if your answer is wrong or right. Worthless. I used it for myself a few times and that was the first thing that came to mind. Oh well you live and learn. Good to have these reviews so others don’t spend their hard earned money that depletes wallet and take up valuable space in small house.

Great Math helper. With my son being in 2nd grade and the levels this goes to, he should get a LOT of use out of this toy. Definitely not a waste of money!
