I do admit the color was not as exciting as the product picture will have you believe, but it is still a beautiful journal and serves its purpose as a tome for your thoughts or whatever. Plus, with the ‘suggested retail price’ of $14.95 US, this isn’t such a bad deal. <3 Super Saver Shipping, amirite?

It’s a sturdy journal and the pages are smooth. There is some cover wrinkling on the spine of mine, but that’s no big. I don’t plan on showing it off or anything, and in fact will be writing in a cipher script, which will only further add mystique and beauty to it.

I cannot stress enough PLEASE CHECK OUT THE PRODUCT PICTURES I POSTED IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!!!

The design shown is the design I received, however the colour is faded as others have mentioned; also the faux-gold gildings around the edges of the drawing are extraordinarily sloppy. It looks alright face-to-face but if you turn the cover into the light the bright gilding is atrocious: none of the lines connect; its a mess of half-completed squiggles. The journal is not elegant but tacky.

I wanted a journal for a young boy so it couldn’t be covered in flowers or puppies. This one really fit the ticket. It is a beautiful rusty red with an embossed design that was copied from a 1600′s bible in London. The gold accents are nice and even the spine is raised. The interior pages are a soft cream with faint lines (that are spaced a little far apart but they are fine for us).
A great journal at a fantastic price.

Raised design and muter colors. Very classy looking. The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because it’s ruling is a little wider than I’d like. I wish it was college ruled or better yet, I wish they offer this as unlined for those of us who do not want to be confined with lines. Sometimes I change my font size when I write, or sometimes I use various colors, or sometimes I draw. Please offer your journals also as unlined — I’d buy them all =).

I have been journaling for years and usually get the “black book” type of journal. Plain and does the job. Decided to change things up a bit and got one of these, to stir things up a bit and have a different space to write in. Very nice journal. I think it would make a great gift for somebody who enjoys journaling.
