I thought that I was upgrading when I got the HP 6500. My previous HP was ok but too slow but compared to the 6500 I could cook a meal before a fax was sent or a copy made. It is an ink pig since the cartridges only last about five pictures which turn out awful. It also makes so much noise for every function and goes thru all these gyros before completing a function. AND the wireless programing drops out continually. The 6500 is piece of plastic. I wish I would not have given away my older model. The 6500 was created only to rip us off.

I like HP products and this is my second HP OfficeJet printer. This printer took slightly longer to set up. I love the wireless aspect, but the major problem is that is will not print from a 64 bit computer. Almost all the new computers are 64 bit so unless your computer is running a 32 bit program — THIS PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT FOR YOU!!

    MISERABLE TO SET UP!!!
I cannot rate the actual printer as I have been trying to get it set up with my computer/network for at least 5 hours and it is still NOT working wirelessly.
The few documents I have printed I have had to plug in the USB cord to print.
So far all I can say is it is noisy, however, the print quality is nice.
If you are willing to WASTE endless hours setting up a printer I recommend this one. But if you, like myself, have actual work that you need to accomplish this is NOT the printer for you.

I am a HP fan and this printer is not even compatible with my new HP system. It constantly has printing spool errors (you need to go to services and stop and restart spooler) and then it loses all the print drivers.

When it works its just fine/good in terms of quality (although noisy and constantly adjusting as others have reported) but this product is absurdly unstable. Copying function is good.

Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and buy a different printer.

This is a big improvement over my previous series 6200 printer. Its wireless and prints on both sides and is more substantial and not nearly as flimsy.
