We were already big Melissa & Doug fans, and after reading bad reviews for the toddler Crayola Taboodles crayon buddies (holders for regular size crayons), we looked for alternatives and found these. Our toddler loves them – they don’t break easily, there’s no paper wrapping to fall off or chew on, and they’re easy to hold. Wonderful product.

Our 2-yr old toddler loves to write with crayons and has been through many types, but breaks them, eats them and tears off any paper around them. Well, we are all THRILLED with these jumbo triangular crayons!! The crayons are bright, shiny, beautiful colors that are fun for our toddler to look at and handle. They must not taste good, because he doesn’t eat them. He also has not be able to break them despite his best efforts. Besides coloring with them, he loves to sort them in and out of their slots in their clear plastic box. We are getting sets for several of his friends as birthday gifts.

I have a 15 month old who wants to color with her sister, let me rephrase, is very interested in her older sister’s crayons. To eat. To peel the paper off. You get the idea. I got her the Tadoodles thinking that would work for her- no go. She just took out the little crayons, broke them and played with the containers! So I bought these and they work great! They are very strong- both agains being broken in half and against the smash coloring tactics used by my darling. I’m really impressed! Also, they’re pretty hard (though they color great) but pretty hard as in I can catch her before she has a bite off the crayon. Love the case, love the crayons. Super glad I bought them! OH- how could I forget, they don’t roll away! SO nice at the table!

I never actually saw this product, but the person I sent it to just loved it. It was for my little niece and her mother saw how much she loved it.

I got these for my 22-month-old, and he instantly fell in LOVE. He loves that his “colors” come in their own special case, and actually puts them away when he’s finished. The triangular shape makes them easier to hold onto, not to mention they don’t roll away as easily. The colors are a little more faint than Crayolas, but this comes to an advantage if your little artist wants to decorate the walls.

Another thing, parents…these crayons don’t taste as good as Crayolas. My son took one tentative om nom and decided these crayons are much better for coloring.
