Hard to use. The adjustable pencil diameter is very difficult to change. I’ve had too many broken leads using this pencil sharpener. I bought it basically because of the name Stanley Bostitch whose products I have bought in the past. This does not stand up to the name.

Like other people have reported, our unit does not sharpen in the center of a pencil, leaving wood to the tip. No matter what brand of pencil, or how hard we try up/down/left/right, it never sharpens correctly. This is going back, if they take it back. It’s past the amazon return date but I’ll try the company. It’s Amax and their number is 800-343-9329.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my Stanley Bostich Pencil Sharpener! I love it! All metal, it looks just like the kind we had in gradeschool, with the rotating pencil hole dial and the smooth-geared sharpener drive. I bought it for my garage, and besides its great look, it grinds a smooth, sharp point on my pencils but doesn’t eat them up–after the tip is sharp, it won’t consume any more of the pencil. A great design and a decent price.

This product has a crooked internal set-up that leaves every pencil with a side of wood down to the tip of the lead. This happens regardless of what brand or type of pencil or how many times one turns the pencil while sharpening. I totally regret purchasing this sharpener!

I love this pencil sharpener! Quick to install and easy to use. I installed it on the wall, which took me maybe 10min. Sharpens pencils with ease. I love how quietly and smooth the blades glide over the pencil. I get a sharp point every time, with none of that lead breakage like I am use to.
